A bug in squish play service prevented the service from starting on systems that did not have any valid audio input devices. I have created a new setup to correct the problem, it is available in the SquishPlay Downloads section of the site.  The SquishPlay service had two minor bugs that prevented the service from starting up on computers that had no input audio device;

The first bug was that the service incorrectly reported the start-up problem as not being able to access the configuration file when in fact the correct error was that no audio devices are available. The error reporting has been corrected and the service now logs the correct error in the Windows application event log.

The second problem was the service was atempting to enumerate the audio input (record) devices and not the audio output (playback) devices. The service has been modified to correctly enumerate the audio playback devices.
